It costs incredibly little to use IMF. It is available for licensing
at a small fraction of the cost of developing even the simplest custom
web mapping application. Please contact us
for detailed pricing information.
The following products are available as location-based site licenses. This
means that the software can be installed on one or more servers at the
same physical location (i.e. an office complex) for a fixed license fee.
It does not cost extra to install IMF on development servers, or on
separate production servers to support intranet and public applications.

IMF Enterprise Edition (for ArcIMS) [ more info ]
Everything you need to deploy high-quality
ArcIMS applications.
With the IMF Enterprise Edition for ArcIMS, your organization can deploy an
unlimited number of web mapping sites that use ESRI's ArcIMS mapping engine.
Sites can be quickly developed by creating simple configuration files, and
it is easy to add new custom routines specific to your organization.
-
IMF Enterprise Edition (for OpenGIS) [ more info ]
For customized applications that use OpenGIS services.
If you want to deploy highly customized web mapping applications using
Web Map Service (WMS) and Web Feature Service (WFS) services, this is the
product for you. Using this version, your site can access one or more
OGC-compliant servers to generate the maps and perform queries. The open
specifications mean that you can mix and match spatial data from various
agencies within a vendor neutral viewer application. The same easy
deployment and advanced customization features available in the ArcIMS
version have been ported to this version.
-
IMF Small Business Edition (for ArcIMS) [ more info ]
For smaller enterprises wishing to use IMF for a single
ArcIMS-based web mapping site
This option provides the same capabilities as the IMF Enterprise Edition,
but the use is restricted to one web mapping site. This version would be
of interest to smaller initiatives that wish to quickly develop their
web mapping application in a cost-effective manner, taking advantage of
a robust, well tested code set.

IMF Editing Tools Extension (for ArcIMS)
[ view example ] [ more info ]
Edit shapes and feature attributes over the web
This option includes a set of programs and tools that can be used with the IMF
to create or edit shapes that exist in SDE data layers, shapefiles, or database
tables. The editing tools include routines to create or edit polygons, lines
or points by on-screen digitising, copying from other layers, or using COGO
data entry. Various vertex editing tools, including the ability to snap
verticies to the closest feature in other layers are included.

IMF Object Model Source Code
The source code of the Java files used to create the Java Object Model is
available at extra cost to Enterprise Edition licensees that are uncomfortable
with having only the compiled version.
Note that access to the source code is not necessary in order for you to
customize IMF or to add new routines to your IMF-based applications. The
IMF routines are mostly JSP scripts that are plain text documents, easily
modified or used as example templates for further development. In fact,
we discourage people from licensing the source code for development purposes
because significant changes are made to it when the underlying map
communication changes (e.g. new ArcIMS releases or OGC specifications),
and it would be extremely difficult for you to retain your changes when
we update the product.
